The waist/hip ratio calculator is an important tool that indicates your probable health risk. People with more weight around their waist are at greater risk for lifestyle related diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes, than those with more weight around their hips.

Use a measuring tape to check the waist and hip measurements.
Step 1: Measure your hip circumference at the widest part of your hips and buttocks, standing with your feet together.
Step 2: Measure your waist circumference at the belly button. Be careful not to hold your breath while measuring it.
